RENTAL BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY
At Wear Once Loved, every dress is reserved exclusively for you for your chosen dates. Once a booking is confirmed, that dress is removed from availability for other customers. Please read our booking and cancellation policy carefully before placing your order.
Booking & Payment
Online bookings require full payment at the time of booking.
For in-store bookings, a non-refundable £50 booking deposit is required to secure your rental. The remaining balance must be paid before or at the time of collection.
Booking Deposit
The £50 booking deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel your booking 72 hours or more before your rental start date, your booking deposit will be transferred to a credit note, valid for 6 months, which can be used towards a future rental.
Cancellations
We do not offer refunds on rental bookings.
Cancellations made 72 hours or more before your rental start date will receive a credit note for the rental value paid (including any booking deposit), valid for 6 months.
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before your rental start date are not eligible for a refund, credit note or transfer and the full rental charge will apply.
Once Your Rental Period Begins
Once your rental period has commenced, the dress is considered rented to you for the agreed dates, regardless of whether it is worn.
If you collect or receive your dress and decide not to wear it, your event is cancelled, your plans change, or you simply choose not to use the dress during your rental period, you will still be charged the full rental fee. The dress has been reserved exclusively for you and has been unavailable for other customers to rent during this time.
If you no longer require your booking, you must cancel at least 72 hours before your rental start date to be eligible for a credit note. Once the rental period has started, no refund, credit note or transfer will be offered.
Bookings Made Within 72 Hours
Bookings made within 72 hours of the rental start date are final and cannot be cancelled, refunded or transferred.
Security Deposit
A separate £50 refundable security deposit is taken upon collection (or prior to dispatch for postal rentals).
Providing the dress is returned on time, in the same condition it was hired (allowing for normal wear), and in accordance with our Rental Terms, your security deposit will be refunded after the dress has been inspected.
If the dress is returned late, damaged, excessively soiled, or requires repair or replacement beyond normal wear, deductions may be made from the security deposit. Where costs exceed the value of the security deposit, Wear Once Loved reserves the right to recover any additional costs incurred.
RETURNS INFORMATION
When renting a dress from Wear Once Loved, the rental period selected at checkout (4-day or 7-day rental) determines the final date by which the item must be returned to and received back by our store.
All rentals must be back in-store with us by the end of the agreed rental period (Day 4 or Day 7 depending on the rental selected). This is the latest date the item must be received by us, not the date it is posted.
As our dresses are frequently booked for multiple customers for consecutive events, late returns may jeopardise other confirmed bookings.
If returning by post, please place the item in the labelled packaging provided and return via your nearest Royal Mail or An Post drop-off location. Customers must allow sufficient postal time to ensure the item is received back with us by the end of the rental period.
Please note that proof of postage does not constitute a return, and any postal delays remain the responsibility of the customer and not Wear Once Loved.
Alternatively, items may be returned directly to our store on or before the final day of the rental period.
For customers located in the Republic of Ireland, we recommend selecting the 7-day rental option to allow sufficient time for postal returns. The 4-day rental option should only be selected where the dress can be returned directly to store within the rental period.
Late Returns
If a rental is not received back by the end of the agreed rental period, late fees will apply. A late fee of £20 will apply for the first calendar day, and £30 for each additional day thereafter until the item is returned.
WHAT IF I DAMAGE MY RENTAL?
Should any damage occur to the item you've rented, kindly inform us promptly by forwarding photos of the damage. Upon the item's return, we will conduct a thorough inspection. Note that normal wear and tear are anticipated with the rental of clothing items.
We ask that you refrain from attempting any repairs on your own, as the item is the property of the lender and improper handling may exacerbate the damage. In instances of minor damage, we will arrange for a seamstress to perform repairs, with the expense being subtracted from your security deposit.
Should the cost of repairs exceed the £50 security deposit, you will be liable for the additional costs incurred.
